This past weekend we were able to get out of town for a few days and check out the Duluth Area. We had great weather for most of the weekend. We were able to drive up the North Shore and visit Gooseberry Falls along with Split Rock Lighthouse.
Little did we know that when we left Duluth early to avoid the storms, we would end up sitting in the middle of a tornado in Hugo. We are very lucky to have been safe and have our house in tack for the most part.
We didn't take any pictures of the storm damage to respect the privacy of people who have lost their homes. However, if you are interested Kare 11 (http://www.kare11.com/) has some nice coverage of the storm online. Thank you for all of you who called to check on us. We are just fine. The start of our house will be delayed at least one week. We are in no hurry, we are thankful that we still have a place to live! We will keep you posted once they do start our house.

What great pics you got of Duluth! We are so happy you are safe and sound after the storm. And let's hear it for weekend getaways! We'll have to take some of those together when we get our beach house (smile!). Love ya! (and p.s.--yeah for updates, I promise to get an update of new pics of the ladies up very soon!).
