Corn Anyone?

MMM...corn.

Alaena checking to see how much corn she had left

This is my favorite!!!

Time for a nap??

Saturday Dan and I were able to spend the day with my brother, Honna and Alaena. Dan and Alex worked hard adding an addition on to their deck. While I was able to play with Alaena and help Honna out with a few things. Every time we see Alaena I am more and more amazed at who she is becoming. She was truly a joy to be around. We had lots of laughs, she showed me how she helps garden (and she really does help), we colored, cleaned (she likes to clean), pushed her in her tree swing, and so much more. She has been busy learning how to talk and that was really fun for Dan and I to have conversations with her. OH, how could I forget...we had corn on the cob... she and I have that in common... we LOVE corn on the cob!!

Been A While...

I apologies for my lack of blogging lately. Things have been a bit busy here. Here are updated pictures of the house. We are really happy with how it has turned out, we've been told it's one of the nicest looking houses on the block. What a compliment to get!!!
The outside is mostly finished, minus the front door. We picked out a very dark brown for the front door. They will do that right before we move in. They also need to pour the driveway and finish laying the dirt before we close. Lastly, we will have to sod the yard once we move in.... we are currently taking donations if you feel lead to help out:) (just kidding).
Inside things are cruising along. We have all our cabinetry up, some of the flooring laid (the carpet will go in last), our fireplace mantel is installed (Dan is getting excited for his TV). All the trim work is in and windows are also installed. The counter tops in our bathrooms were just put in yesterday and we are hoping that in the next few days our lighting will be up so we can really see the inside of our home.
We are set to move in October 7th if all continues to go well.
We are looking forward to having you all over once we are all move in!!
Our door is open for you anytime!
