Domestic Diva

Happy New Year!

The weather has been cold here in MN. So, I tend to hibernate at home unless there is REALLY a good reason to leave (work). Lucky for my husband and our house! I am not really one for having new year resolutions. I am not always the best at keeping them. However, I always like to reflect on how to better my life. One area of life that needed to be "re-modeled" was our home. We are pretty clean, but I really wanted to find a place for everything in the house and totally DE-CLUTTER our home. So this weekend... that is exactly what I have been up to. Our kitchen cabinets are cleaned out and organized, Laundry room and closet are in better order, and so on.

I must admit that there is one thing I have never been really excited about doing. Any guesses?? Ironing. Now, to my poor husband who has an amazing Mom who is really AWESOME at this. I apologies. It just is not something I excel in. This can sometimes lead to interesting times when your spouse has to wear dress shirts/pants everyday. I always have good intentions.

To better this situation I decided to return one of my Christmas gifts from Dan (a neck massager) and go buy
The perfect Steam commercial garment steamer.

The box promises miracles!!
* 45 second quick heat up
* 5 times faster than ironing
* Safe for all fabrics

Isn't it pretty??

Do you like our new bathroom? We are still in the process of finishing up the basement, so we have not really organized it yet... looking forward to doing that.

I will keep you posted on how I am doing on steaming.
I hope to make my mother-in-law proud!!

Off to clean and organize our bedroom.

Mexico

Here are a few pictures from our trip. There would have been more if I (Kate) had not deleted the entire memory card the day before we left! I am still working on trying to get them back. ugg!!!

Our Room
tub for two
Living room (we had two TVs in our room)

Views from our room

Did we mention they had a crocodile in there! When we arrived we read on a paper in the room to not feed animals and to stay at least 9 feet away from the swamp.... they weren't kidding! We saw it!! The last day we were there, they got it out... wonder how they decide who gets that job??

My favorite place in the world... the ocean!!

Main pool- ask Dan sometime about "The CRAZY GAME OF THE DAY"
These pictures do not even begin to show how amazing and large this pool was!!!

What does a Pharmacist and RN do on vacation????

You guessed it.... get TATOOS!!! Why not, right??

Why not have an organ in the lobby of the hotel.

You could eat lunch here.

Michael Jackson is alive..

we saw him perform while we were there!!!

It was an amazing time together. Hard to come back but great memories!!
