Surprise Visit to South Dakota

This past weekend we headed to SD for a surprise visit. Carmen turned the BIG 50! Dan's sister Jennie and our niece Ella came from Ohio to help wish Carmen a happy birthday too! Saturday we had a surprise family party with the Mach side. The surprises didn't end there.... Sunday a bunch of Carmen and Steve's friends came from Milbank, SD along with all the Foiles to wish her a happy birthday. It was a fun weekend, keeping Carmen on her toes!

Dan's family also introduced me to Wii. I think Dan would love to have one of those!!

Our House

Here is a picture of the style of our house. We have chosen to do a few different things on the exterior, but over all this is it.

Decision Time

Dan and I have been busy looking over all the options for the house. I never would have thought of all the details that go into just picking out the interior of our house! Glad that is not what I do for a living! Lucky for us we still have time. However, the exterior and major structural items of the house must be decided by next week. We pretty much have it all decided, expect the color of the house and door. Our builder is still working at updating the colors to chose from, so we decided to wait and see what they have to offer.

We will keep you posted. We tried to take pictures of our home site this past weekend... but our camera died while trying to take pictures!! We will go out tomorrow and try to get some if it is not snowing. Promise to have them on there soon!

Sign Away

Today was the actual day where we signed the purchase agreement. It's a done deal! We have bought our first house. How very exciting!!! Tuesday we are going to the design center to start to plan the details. We have time, but were told to go and start getting ideas. We will post pictures of our home site later this week. In the next 10 days we have to pick out the color of our house and the exterior things. We will keep you posted.
